TitleCorrespondence of the Ward family of Iver
DescriptionThis collection of letters comes from the Ward family of Iver. Most of the correspondence is addressed to Rev. Edward Ward (1772-1835) and his son Rev. William Sparrow Ward (1811-1897). Edward Ward obtained the living of Iver in 1803 and held it until his death. He was succeeded by his son William who was rector until 1889. The family connection with Iver continued until the death of William's daughter Georgiana in 1964. As well as the Parsonage, which became the family home, they also owned Colne House and other property in the parish.
